Mercy

I really love this dua from suratul Kahf: v. 10!

Behold, the youths betook themselves to the Cave, they said:

“Our Lord! Bestow on us Mercy from Thyself, and dispose our affair for usin the right way!”

Evening Du’a

***أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق ***

Authu bikalimaatil lahi tammati min sharri maa khalaq

It is narrated that whoever says this Du’a three times in the morning, no sting will harm him that night.” (Tirmidhi)

Meaning:

*I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created*

Du’a- Seek Protection from:

***اللهم انى أعوذ بك من علم لا ينفع, ومن قلب لا يخشع, ومن نفس لا تشبع, ومن دعاء لا يستجاب له***

“Allahumma Inni Authu bika min ilmin la Yanfa’, wa min qalbin la yakhsha’, wa min nafsin la tashba’, wa min duaain la yustajabu laha.”

Abu Hurairah (ra) said that the Prophet (saws) would supplicate saying:

O Allah I seek protection with you from useless knowledge, from a heart that has no fear (of Allah) within it, from a discontent self and from duas that are not answered.” (Related By Muslim)

Dua Al-Karb – Supplication during calamities

اللهم رحمتك ارجوا فلا تكلنى الى نفسى طرفة عين وأصلح لى شأنى كلة لا اله الا انت

Allahumma rahmetuka arjoo, falaa tekilnee elaa nefsee tarfete ayn, wa aslih lee shenee kullahu. Laa ilaaha illaa Anta.

Meaning:

O Allah I seek Your mercy, so please don’t entrust me to myself –not even for the blinking of an eye- and please resolve all of my problems. There is no god besides You.”

Reflection:

This amazing  Du’a teaches us to seek Mercy and help from Allah (subhanahu Wa-t’ala) and ONLY Allah alone. In seeking Mercy and help, we are asking for Allah (subhanahu Wa-t’ala)‘s protection at all times and to NOT leave us to ourselves even for the blink of an eye (a split second). This shows the enormous need we have for Allah (subhanahu Wa-t’ala). This Du’a places hope in the aching heart  at times of tribulations and afflictions knowing that Allah will always assist you in whatever situations you maybe in–All YOU have to do is ASK.

Allah (subhanahu Wa-t’ala) says in the Quran- “Call Upon Me and I will answer”—So take the time to Ask ALLAH (subhanahu Wa-t’ala) :)

**************************************************************

We need to remember that Allah (subhanahu Wa-t’ala) is the ONLY one who can make our situations better so instead of lingering over how the situation could’ve been different, Seek Allah’s Mercy and Hope and Leave the rest to Him, and He will take care of you!!!!

Praising & Glorifying Allah 4 words/3 times

Meaning:

” Allah be glorified and praised - In quantity as numerous as His creation – And with quality that makes Him pleased – And with the value and weight of His throne”
