A call to action

hey yall, so.   iam calling for an actionplan.  i realize we ly the all busy, particularly the new mommy 🙂 but iam asking for a pledge for a time comitment a day.  A time to take a step towards something we desire.  As for me I pledge 2 hours a day.  An hour o apply for jobs and hour for Al-rafeeqat.  let me know what goals you want to work on and your time commitment.  The pledge is good for a month.  After one month you can either choose to renew it or not….

Stress Management

Ok Samah, these notes are for You 😉

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stress:
– Our body’s response to things that trigger an emotional reaction in us. Happens as a result of life’s demands and our ability to deal with them

o Some stressors:
 Children
 Money
 Family
 School
 Health
 Trying to get married
 Dawah
 Friends

Too many stressors and You will BLOW UP

Techniques to deal with Stress:

1. Think of the problem that is bothering you and saying it outloud and saying it backwards- Disassociate yourself from the problem

2. Stretch both your arms forward VERY hard/sit on a chair and hold the sides VERY hard and then release & say Yasalaaaaaaam 

3. Many Breathing techniques
a. 4-2-8:
i. Inhale ( 1 2 3 4)
ii. Hold (1 2)
iii. Exhale ( 5 6 7 8)

4. Postpone Stress
a. I will deal with this problem later on tonight or afternoon
i. Write it down so it transfers from the Brain to paper
ii. Come up with 5 solutions for the problem

5. Success Journal
a. Write positive things about YOU

6. Technique: Modeling (law of NLP)
a. Look for Someone you admire and is successful in what you want and mimic them in that

7. Take a 10 minute mental vacation- FREE
a. Sit on a chair, think of your anchor- Remember a time when you were the HAPPIEST, and think about it

8. Exercise

9. Special Interest
a. Gardening, painting, drawing, etc..

10. Cooking

Hope this helps 🙂

Alright, Blog ON

“May Allah Benefit Us & our Blessed Ummah with this Knowledge” Ameeeeeeen

Love you all for the Sake of Allah

Salamu alikum wa rahmatullah

Subhanallah, ramadan has passed by and things went back to normal.  I wonder where all that extra time that we had to prey qiam, or prey taraweeh or read quran everyday went??? once again we’re back to the busyness and forgetfulness of life…..

Where did Ramadan Go?

SubhanAllahi wa bihamdik, subhanAllahil adheem.

I can’t get over how fast this month flew by, and how fast our lives are changing. The reality and challenge of glittering world is still tempting. May Allah give us the strength to become His devoted worshipers forever.

hold on tight!

Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,―

soon will He admit them to Mercy and Grace from Himself

and guide them to Himself by a straight Way.

TASK FORCE

lol…Ok so everytime I look at the blog, you guys are writing very insightful, beneficial mumbo jumbo 🙂 and I am soooooooo not like that. I just write on the blog to fulfill the promise I made (I know….sounds like a burden….well it is) 🙂

loool…It’s kinda too early for me but here is why I decided to write—

I got this Super COOL e-mail from Muhammed Al-Shareef about the last 10 days and I think I forwarded it to y’all but here it is again:

DO THIS ASAP Inshallah

Step 1: Go somewhere really beautiful, where no one can disturb you

Step 2: Imagine Allah says to you, “Ask whatever you wish and I shall grant it to you.” Think of everything good you would ask for from this life and the next.

Step 3: After thinking of everything you can, sit down and write it out.

Step 4: Pick 5 things, your favorites, and consistently ask Allah for these 5 every night in the last ten. Your dua will be guaranteed to have landed on Laylatul-Qadr! How cool is that?

So LET’S DO IT YEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH—–loool, I am trying to be optimistic but it’s not working 😦

Patience

Salamu alikkum wa rahmatulah, hope ramadan is treating everyone well, or better yet, everyone is treating ramadan well.  A while back we talked about patience and how to be patient.  Although i don’t think I can completely understand or can apply it, I think sometimes being patient is being sad or being in pain or being afraid and continuing with life while we’re certain that it is best and that it will pass with the blessing of Allah subhanaho wa ta’alla.   May Allah give us the courage and strength to be patient and the wisdom to know how to do it.

A Guidance & Instruction for those who fear Allah!

“Here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear Allah!

So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: for ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith.

10 Days GONE???

Salamu Alikum….

Sorry I haven’t been writing on the blog even though it was my idea to write daily (obviously that didn’t work for me) but I have been having trouble with finding a specific time to write on the blog…My comp. is in the basement & I am lazy as anything to go downstairs 😦

Alhamdulilah, asamaharaha & Little8opeep have been doing an AWESOME job keeping us up-to-date (we’re still missing someone) so Jazakumullahu Khairan 🙂

Anywho, My Ramadan has been a Roller Coaster Ride so far….A good day vs. a bad one but Alhamdulilah- I realized that my Escape is in Reading Quran….I could be having the worst day ever but when I sit down to read my Quran, All my distress, anxiety, and problems just disappear so Alhamdulilah, I found MY ESCAPE & I love it

My Goals:

1. Alhamdulilah, I am slacking off lately but my sunnahs are on & off so starting tomorrow inshallah, I will make sure they are ON…

2. Quran Reading is FANTASTIC- Alhamdulilah but my Memorization is sooooooooo Down the Hill—My memory stick is running out 😦

I’ll make sure to write on the Blog more often….I apologize for being lazy & my light has been off lately but tomorrow is another day inshallah & may Allah make it brighter than all the days before it 🙂

Love you All for the Sake of the One who controls our Hearts
